So I drove back to the college after Thanksgiving (which was delicious by the way), and I
stopped by our local game shop to trade in some games. I walked up the counter with my
stack of old games and Mitch, the guy who works there, picks up the Pokemon Emerald box
and gives me an excited "Oooh!" as he examines the shiny box. I gave a satisfied nod, and
he types it into the computer to check prices. The following conversation ensued:
Mitch (stops typing, raises eyebrows and looks at me): Do you know how much this is worth?
Me (snaps back to attention): What was that?
Mitch: Do you know how much this is worth right now?
Me: No, how much is it worth?
Mitch: With the original box and all its contents, which I assume you have.. Let's just say
I can sell this for 100 bucks.
Me (raises eyebrows): Say what? 100?
Yeah. That's right. Apparently a Pokemon Emerald version in its original box (the shiny
green one with the Rayquaza on the front) is worth $100. So with that, I should be able
to get myself a used 3DS if not a 3DS XL (since that's what my friends have recommended me).
So happy about that xD And the best part? I've got another one sitting at home!
So yeah. Just wanted to share my excitement with everyone!
Now on a slightly more depressing note, I just figured out how much stuff I still have
to do before finals roll around next week for me. So I'll be spending pretty much every
waking hour that's not dedicated to eating and class to homework.. it's gonna be a fun week.
So good luck to me on my finals, and until next time, see ya!
